About this project
Vision
No one should have to face IgG4-related disease alone and in the dark, searching for trustworthy information while the word cancer still hangs in the air. We work towards a world where every patient, in their own language, reaches reliable information and the right specialist quickly. Early enough to make a difference.
Mission
igg4.org does the looking for the patient. We gather what has been published about IgG4-related disease, show where each piece comes from, give the link, and point the way to a specialist. We do not diagnose and we do not replace a doctor. We give people what they need to walk into their next appointment knowing more than they did. Independent, with no industry funding, carried by two people who felt the next patient deserves an easier path.
Our promises
This is what you can expect from us.
- A librarian, not a doctor. We offer information; we do not judge your case.
- Every claim has a source, with a working link. What we cannot support, we do not say.
- We do not diagnose, give doses, or predict how it will go for you. For your situation, your specialist is the right person.
- Safety comes before information. At any sign of an emergency, we point to help first.
- Independent. No industry funding, no sponsor. A mention on this site is a credit, never a condition.
- We work in five languages, because fear knows no language border.
